MANCHESTER: India beat the traditional rival Pakistan by 89 runs in the World Cup. Pakistan was bowled out for 35 and rain was interrupted when the match was limited to 40 overs. In the end, India won by 89 runs under the DRS (Duckworth) rule. India climbed to number 3 on the list, defeating Pakistan in the World Cup for the seventh consecutive time. India were 336 for 5 in their 50 overs and Pakistan was able to score 212 for six in 40 overs.
